Some Useful Information about Budapest...
Getting from the Airport
Taxis:
The taxis that wait at the airport work on a fixed price, around 20 euro to most parts of Budapest.
You can reduce this to around 15 euro by using City Taxi - phone them when you arrive and they will be there in 5 minutes, and they speak English (the link to them is opposite).
Airport Minibus:
The Airport Minibus takes you to your address, but costs 11 euro, so for two people a taxi is cheaper.
Train:
There is a train from Terminal 1 (but not from Terminal 2, and they are a long way apart - you cannot walk), that costs about 2 euro each (you need to buy the ticket in the terminal and then walk to the station outside). It takes you to Nyugati station in the city centre - you can take the metro from there (1 euro per ticket).
Airport Transfers:
For guests staying in our apartments, we can arrange airport transfers. These cost 22 euro each-way, that's the total price for the car.
Getting from the Train Station
All three train stations - Keleti, Nyugati and Deli, have metro stations.
Avoid using the taxis that wait at the Railway station (they will take you for a nice long ride) - phone City Taxi instead.

Budapest Safety:
Actually Budapest is a very safe city.
There is some petty theft, so if your wallet is sticking out of a pocket or your handbag is open, you may well lose something. Also, if you drop something somewhere you are unlikey to see it again.
But thankfully the level of violent crime is very low. It is extremely rare that you will see any vioelnce, and the streets are safe.
